Polished: MAC Cool Reserve

M.A.C Cool Reserve

Cool Reserve (Limited Edition: Jin Soon Choi for MAC Fall 2009)

Description: Dirty grey lavender

Finish: Cream

Swatches:

M.A.C Cool Reserve

One coat (no base coat or top coat)

M.A.C Cool Reserve

Two coats (no base coat or top coat)

The polishes in these collections are definitely a step up from previous M.A.C Nail Lacquers. The formula is different. Two coats were all I needed from a brand new bottle, which is unheard of from my experience with their polishes. The finish is glossy enough that you do not need a top coat. The cream formula means that it does not contain any shimmer or glitter and it is not metallic. I don’t know who started this rumor but the polishes in this collection are not matte.

Cool Reserve is neutral enough for the office without being boring. One coat was a little streaky. The second coat was enough to give me even and opaque coverage. It is a great addition to my collection and I will be wearing it this Fall.
