This haul’s theme was “mo’ money, mo’ problems.” I’m testing the waters of the luxury beauty world and I was less than enthused when I spent more on a particular item and the sticker shock exacerbated gripes that would have probably been minor had I paid a much lower price. I know it is unrealistic, but I expect 100% satisfaction from the Tom Ford’s and Chanel’s of the world. But like anything else, it will take trial and error to find each brand’s strengths and weaknesses according to my taste.

It has been a few weeks since I filmed a haul video but don’t think I have not been shopping lol. I will say I have been doing better and researching before going crazy and picking up, for example, Hourglass’ Ambient Lighting Blush in every color (confession: I have barely had a chance to play with the two I mentioned in the video and I already want to add Luminous Flush to the collection). The next installment of RiRi ❤ MAC is here! I can’t contain my excitement over the gorgeous packaging. My friend and I met up at 6:30 AM at a local mall to line up at the MAC store that opened at 8:00 AM. We were practically foaming at the mouth over the collection and we definitely did not want to deal with the dreaded waiting room process when the collection launches on the MAC website (on Monday, September 30th at 12:00PM EST) so we showed up extra early. Too early in fact, since the mall was not even open yet. We killed some time until it opened and when we got back there were already some people waiting ( we were not alone lol). Our craziness paid off since we were able to score everything we wanted. Everything except the coveted Talk That Talk lipstick. Apparently that location must have gotten less than a handful, which led to a mad dash to other MAC stores. Luckily we were able to get the hot item at our second stops (we split up lol) and just like that 10 lbs were lifted off of our shoulders. It was that serious! I advise that you are online at noon sharp or figure out what time your local MAC-carrying department store opens (the collection launches at counters on October 3rd) and line up ahead of time, ESPECIALLY if you want to get your hands on Talk That Talk. I predict it will be the first item to sell out. It is a fabulous vampy berry color, perfect for the cooler months ahead.

In case you missed it, I am alive! After a long hiatus I posted my haul from The Makeup Show NYC 2012 over the weekend. It has already been 3 months since the show but better late than never right? Now I can finally start to put away and use the goodies that have been sitting in bags on my bedroom floor for weeks.
I am excited to be back and I have a long queue of videos in my head that I need to get through like an update on what I have been up to, skin care, hair care, favorites, jumping on the empties bandwagon, etc. The only question left is where should I start?

I thought MAC Me Over was MAC’s fall mega collection, that was until their Fall Colour collection hit the shelves. It is enormous! The collection was separated into three parts and it is definitely for those of us who love wearing vibrant colors. There are plenty of items that have been repromoted and that are part of MAC’s permanent range so I had to double check that I was not repurchasing things that I already had in my collection. Turns out that more than half of the items mentioned below were in my stash:
